The Illuminator™ Series fixture has passed the military
watertight standard testing requirements. This test is to evaluate the performance of the Light-Pod fixture when subjected to various vibration tests as defined and specified in MIL-F-16377.

Watertight

This test is to evaluate the performance of the Light-Pod fixture when subjected to a watertight submersion test a defined and specified in MIL-F-16377.

Watertight submersion testing is a series of water tests that are conducted to the Light-pod fixture in order to document the performance of the fixture under water. These tests are designed to verify the fixture may operate in under water. The scope of the test procedure is to assure the compliance of the Light-Pod Light Fixture to the applicable requirements of MIL-F-16377.

The Light-Pod fixture will be subjected to series of under water tests in where the fixture submersed in a tank of water at various positions. The Light will be subjected to a visual inspection after each water submersion test for evidence of any discrepancies such as water or moisture penetration. In order to pass this test, the Light-Pod fixture will be monitored during the test and the fixture will not exhibit any malfunction, specified indications beyond the tolerances indicated in the individual equipment or subsystem specification when subjected to the spike test specified in MIL-F-16377.
