MIL-F-167-1 Vibration

image

The Illuminator™ Series fixture has passed the military requirements. This test is to evaluate the performance of the Light-Pod fixture when subjected to varioius vibration tests as defined and specified in MIL-F-167-1.

Vibration

Vibration testing is a series of high rate vibration tests that are conducted to the Light-pod fixture in order to document the performance of the fixture during a wide range of vibration frequencies. These tests are designed to verify the fixture may operate in a high rate vibration environment. The scope of the test procedure is to assure the compliance of the Light-Pod Light Fixture to the applicable requirements of MIL-STD-167-1.

The Light-Pod fixture will be subjected to vibration in the frequency range of 4 Hz to 50 Hz in each of the three (3) major axes a in accordance with the referenced test specifications. The Light will be subjected to a visual inspection after each vibration frequency for evidence of any discrepancies such as visible cracks, loose fasteners, deformation, or broken parts. In order to pass this test, the Light-Pod fixture will be monitored during the test and the fixture will not exhibit any malfunction, specified indications beyond the tolerances indicated in the individual equipment or subsystem specification when subjected to the spike test specified in MIL-STD-167-1.
