Transportation facilities such as train stations, bus stations, outdoor platforms, airports, and other transportation based facilities require lighting that facilitates the need for reliable long last lighting under constant harsh environmental conditions.
Transportation based lumenaires require construction that can withstand shock, vibration, rocks, and other vandal based harsh environmental conditions. In order for the lumenaire to operate under these conditions it must be designed to withstand these harsh environments.
The Illuminator® series of solid state lumenaires from Light-Pod is designed with a full aluminum machined construction that is assembled through steel framing that will ensure maximum longevity. In addition the lenses of the lumenaire are a full ¼” of hardened acrylic to prevent cracks or shattering during harsh environmental conditions. |

In addition the lenses of the lumenaire are a full ¼” of hardened acrylic to prevent cracks or shattering during harsh environmental conditions.In addition, The Illuminator® series can withstand various outdoor conditions as well. The lumenaires can be exposed to water and or wet locations while providing a full 50,000 to 75,000 hours of lighting operation before replacement. Light-Pods's enclosed and gasket sealed LED luminaires have been tested through a multitude of hazardous environmental conditions to offer transportation based customers the security and long life needed for these critical applications.
