Government facilities, municipalities, prisons, and schools have lighting requirements that facilitate the need for reliable lighting under constant vandal based environments.
Vandal proof lumenaires require construction that can withstand shock, vibration, rocks, and other vandal based environmental conditions. In order for the lumenaire to operate under these conditions it must be designed to withstand these harsh environments.

longevity. In addition the lenses of the lumenaire are a full ¼” of hardened acrylic to prevent cracks or shattering of the lenses.
In addition, The Illuminator® series can withstand various liquids including water and or wet locations while providing a full 50,000 to 75,000 hours of lighting operation before replacement. Light-Pods's enclosed and gasket sealed LED luminaires have been tested through a multitude of hazardous environmental conditions to offer the government customer the security and long life needed for these critical applications.
